Path of Aconquija Mountain
Finding a look lost in the Sierra del Aconquija, discovering new places, which is what you are proposing in this journey through North Argentina. Mountain villages, rural schools, ruins of the culture Tafí, get passed before our eyes. The condors accompany our step, we will carry slowly toward the jungle, through the valley of the Rio Grande, to move to the City of Independence, San Miguel de Tucuman. Great contrasts, deep gorges and the color of friendship offered by the local people.
ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival of the group to the bus Station of San Miguel de Tucuman. We moved in vehicles to local Tafí Valley three hour-by-route 307, across from the jungle 700msnm. Day 3: Continuing the journey on foot, leaving the rural school to the highest point in the valley of the High Aguadas, 2700msnm. From that point we began to appreciate the change in vegetation over the condors and the fabulous cord with the Sierra del Aconquija its maximum elevation 4860msnm. This small rise will culminate in a prolonged decline of approximately 5hs until arriving at another rural school in the Valley Amfama (1800msnm), where we camp. Walking time: 6 to 7hs. Armed camp. Day 4: After breakfast we prepare to descend until the Board (1100msnm). From this point repeatedly cross the Rio Grande in full jungle, which will be cooler our journey. During the following 2hs continue by the river, culminating in the town of Potrero of Tables, ending our journey. Time running Estimate: 6hs. From here we moved to San Miguel de Tucuman in local vehicles. After a shower and a farewell lunch, we moved to the terminal in the city of Tucuman. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.
